Terms of Use

1. What Kairo is

Kairo is a personal-evolution app: an AI Mentor, a Dojo of practices, a Garden of reflections and weekly letters. Its content is reflective and for self-knowledge.

2. Account and eligibility

You must be 18 or older and provide accurate information. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity on your account.

3. Subscription, free trial and billing

Kairo is a subscription service, with a 7 (seven) day free trial for new subscribers.

• Purchases are made inside the app, via the Apple App Store or Google Play (or via Stripe, on the web). Payment uses the method registered with your store account.
• Automatic renewal: at the end of the trial, the subscription is charged and renews automatically for the chosen period (monthly or yearly) until you cancel.
• Cancellation: you can cancel at any time in the Apple/Google subscription settings (or in the Stripe portal, on the web). Access remains until the end of the period already paid for. Cancel at least 24h before the trial ends to avoid being charged.
• Prices: shown in the app in your local currency before confirmation. We may change prices with prior notice; changes don't affect a cycle already paid for.
• Refunds: follow the policies of Apple, Google or Stripe, depending on the purchase channel.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to: use the app for illegal purposes; attempt to bypass limits, security or the subscription mechanisms; reverse-engineer it; overload or abuse the infrastructure; or submit unlawful content.

5. Your content

The content you create (reflections, messages) is yours. You grant us a limited license to process and store it solely to operate the service (see the Privacy Policy). You are responsible for what you write.

6. Artificial Intelligence — important disclaimer

The Mentor and the letters are generated by AI and are reflective and motivational in nature. Kairo does not provide medical, psychological, therapeutic, legal or financial advice, and is no substitute for qualified professionals. AI can make mistakes; use your own judgment.

If you are in severe emotional distress or at risk, seek professional help immediately. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services or a crisis hotline. In Brazil, CVV answers at 188 (24h); for emergencies dial 192 (SAMU) or 190.

7. Intellectual property

The app, the “Kairo” brand, the design and the original content are ours or licensed to us. These Terms transfer no rights over them to you.

8. Disclaimer of warranties and limitation of liability

Kairo is provided “as is”, with no warranty of uninterrupted availability or of results. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of (or inability to use) the app.

9. Termination and account deletion

You can delete your account at any time inside the app (Profile → Delete account) — deletion is immediate and permanent (see the Privacy Policy). Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription: cancel it in the store settings (Apple/Google) or, if you subscribed on the web, via Stripe. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Active subscriptions follow the cancellation rules in section 3.

10. Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. The courts of Divinópolis/MG are the agreed venue, subject to a consumer's right to bring an action in their own domicile.

11. App stores (Apple and Google)

When you download Kairo via the App Store or Google Play, you also agree to the respective store's terms. Specifically:

• These Terms are between you and Kairo, not with Apple/Google.
• Apple/Google have no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the app.
• If the app fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple for a refund of the price (where one applies); to the extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation.
• Apple and Google are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
• You represent that you are not located in an embargoed country nor on any prohibited-party list.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email; continued use after they take effect means acceptance. The date at the top indicates the latest revision.
